The Bathroom Trip

“Girls…Yalla bathroom?!” One girl says after the first hour of the dinner at this loud and dimly lit place.... Her tone is so confidently excited that other girls enthusiastically reply “Yalla...Lets go!” Instantly picking up their purses and looking forward to this quick private get together, leaving the men not fully understanding why they need to go together.
They reach the bathroom door, queuing to enter while others are exiting. Each of them starts feeling calmer away from all the noise happening outside. They take a moment to quickly see their reflection for self assurance while wondering silently about their lingering thoughts.
In this short bathroom trip, they coincidently meet old friends, make quick calls, share makeup with strangers, take selfies to always remember this trip to that safe space- and break from all what is happening, having room for unexpected encounters that can warm up the heart throughout the night.
They go out of the bathroom, walking more confidently across the crowd, heading back to their group thinking they may need this getaway again very soon, and the reason is never to pee…

ا”بنات ... یلا بینا؟!” تقترح إحدى الفتیات بعد مرور ساعة واحدة فقط من العشاء في
ھذا المكان الصاخب شبه المظلم ... تجبر نبرتھا الحماسیة الواثقة الأخریات ان یرددن بحماس "یلا بینا!" فتلتقتن سریعاً أغراضھن الخاصة لیتطلعن إلى ھذه الرحلة العجیبة معاً، تاركاتٍ خلفھن رجالاً لا یفھمون أبدًا سر ھذه الرحلة النسائیة الجماعیة.ا
ما ان یصلن إلى باب الحمام، حتى یبدأ الاصطفاف للدخول فیما تخرج أخریات من ذلك الباب السحري حیث یبدأ الشعور بالھدوء بعیدًا عن الضوضاء العاصفة بالخارج. تأخذ كل منھن لحظة للنظر على نفسھا بالمرآة لتشعر بثقه غامضة ویدور بینھن في المرآة حوار حمیمي صامت.ا
في ھذه الرحلة القصیرة، تلتقى الصدیقات القدامى، تجري واحدة مكالمات سریعة، وتتقاسم الاخرى الماكیاج مع غریبة لا تعرفھا الا من خلال ھذه المحطة السحریة، ویأخذن صورًا ذاتیة لتذكر ھذه الرحلة إلى ھذا المكان الآمن و كأنھا رحلة خارج الزمن، حیث ینفصلن عن كل ما یحدث بالخارج، مع فرصة لأحداث غیر متوقعة یمكن أن تدفأ القلب طوال السھرة. ا
في رحلة العودة تمشي الفتیات بزھو عبر الحشود واثقات أنه لن یمضي وقت كبیر حتى تجمعھن رحلة أخرى الي ھذا العالم السحري.ا
